3 Weeks & Counting...

Wow! Three weeks today since my hip replacement surgery! Incredible! I feel really good! I am getting around really well. Everyone that sees me can't believe how well that I am getting around. Praise God!

For the most part, I am using one crutch. My hip is getting stronger every day; and the pain is decreasing daily as well. The incision is healing beautifully, only a few more steri-strips to release. I'm still in awe that there were no stitches or staples to be removed. Amazing ! Gotta love those self-disolving stitches! So much better than having staples or stitches removed! :)

These pictures will show you exactly what I went through during surgery, right from start to finish.

I'm still amazed that I was awake through the entire process; thanks to an epidural block. Looking through the image archive, I am reminded of the noises I heard from the tools, as well as the surgeon saying "Give it one more good whack!" lol Thankfully, I couldn't feel a thing!

I'm half-way finished the recovery period; 3 more weeks and I will be going to my 6 week check-up with my surgeon.

Thank you for your continued prayers!

~ Karla

Hello sister Karla!

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to have surgery, but at the same time I'm so excited to hear how God is healing you so well and how well the surgery went!

Bless you dear sister!
